WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who is passionate about Financial Management and Brand Marketing to join our North America Strategic Investments team in Beaverton, Oregon. This person is self-motivated, organized, collaborative, pro-active and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a candidate with strong financial acumen, communication skills, the ability to operate effectively amidst ambiguity, and to influence key business partners.


WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will serve as the key finance partner for multiple marketing teams throughout North America and be responsible for working with each team to provide accurate financial forecasts that will help us deliver against quarterly financial targets. You will be the subject matter expert on the financial aspects of marketing investments for these teams including investment types, initiatives, and expense recognition. Primary responsibilities include the monthly close and forecasting processes, collaborating with accounting, marketing, and other finance teams. There will also be the opportunity to work on projects and assist with Finance Transformation initiatives currently in progress.

Subject Matter Expert

  • Be an expert on marketing spend, including specific initiatives, spend types and timing.
  • Partner to align investments to our strategic goals.
  • Manage individual investments alongside Brand leaders, being their main point of contact for all finance related items.

Influence and Communicate Effectively

  • Effectively communicate across all levels of the organization to drive alignment and provide context for decision making.
  • Provide insightful and actionable commentary for monthly, quarterly, yearly variances.
  • Create simple but effective presentations to help drive decision making.
  • Work back across different finance and accounting functions to ensure that marketing expense is properly recognized, and forecasts are in line with strategic objectives.

Drive Change

  • Assist in the development of standardized reporting of marketing investments.
  • Assess and improve current processes to increase efficiency and deliver greater value across the business.


WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will report to the North America Marketing Finance Manager and support both the North America Finance and Marketing teams. Additionally, you will work closely with Controlling, and partner across the broader North America Strategic Investments Finance Team.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate finance, accounting and/or budgeting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear visual manner to a wide and diverse audience, including senior leadership
  • Self-starter and positive attitude enabling the anticipation of problems and development of creative solutions
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and layers of management
  • Strong Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills; knowledge of SAP is preferred
  • Strong enthusiasm and passion for the NIKE Brand!
