WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an experienced Release Engineer to join our Mobile Application Release Engineering team.

They will play a meaningful role in engineering and support of build, test, and release function for Nike’s consumer, retail, and corporate mobile applications.

The candidate needs to have demonstrated experience using an MDM platform to improve release outcomes, develop solutions to a broad scope of business needs, and implement standard practice to facilitate great outcomes at scale.


WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Senior Mobile Release Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting development teams in the build, test, and release process. Supporting the Workspace One platform, infrastructure, and implementation to achieve reliable application release.

A typical week may include, working with the team’s agile process to prioritize automation work, engineering or supporting self-service tools, cross-training with a teammate, or working with a business partner to gather requirements for a new use case.


WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You would join the Mobile Release Engineering team which is part of Unified Endpoint Engineering, based out of Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, OR. Working with application development teams, our broader engineering org to standardize use of the Workspace One platform, vendors, external application providers, and support teams.

WHAT YOU BRING

-  Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience and training

-  5+ years of experience utilizing an MDM platform to manage, configure, and release applications to mobile devices

-  Demonstrated automation experience utilizing open-source tooling (Ansible/Jenkins/Docker)

-  Ability to triage, troubleshoot, and fix problems – providing guidance to support teams

-  Attention to detail, comfortable documenting test plans, implementing testing for internal tools

-  Experience with infrastructure, virtualization, networking, or systems administration is a plus

-  Accountability and end-to-end ownership of solutions or tasks
