NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, Oregon. Mentors a team of software engineers in building prototypes and software solutions for a range of data platform capabilities that transforms the way Nike plans and merchandises products. Advises Product Managers on discrete software-related business problems, formulates solution options, including assessing their relative merits and risks, and recommends the best robust scalable software solutions. Works with ambiguity and abstract requirements in a dynamic business environment, developing technology features either new or in existing platforms quickly in a team context. Leads the team in developing, testing, and deploying code, assessing technical design and feasibility, championing modern patterns and principles. Provides technology leadership, training, and mentoring to less senior team members. Understands the need to protect Nike’s intellectual property, highly-confidential data and ensures compliance to that in all software solutions.

Applicant must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a computer-related occupation. Experience must include:

  • Software Architecture and design
  • Real-time auto-scalable serverless design and ETL full-load/incremental-load design
  • Python, Java and Scala
  • Apache Spark and Kafka
  • S3, EMR, DynamoDB, Lambda, Kinesis, API Gateway, SNS, SQS and IAM
  • VPC, Network ACL's, NAT/Internet Gateways and Route tables
  • Snowflake, Oracle and MySQL
  • Docker
  • Terraform
  • Jenkins and Circle CI
  • Splunk, NewRelic and AWS Cloudwatch Insights
