About Us

Agility Robotics is a pioneer. Our humanoid robot, Digit, is the first to be sold into workplaces across the globe. Our team is differentiated by its expertise in imagining, engineering, and delivering robots with advanced mobility, dexterity, intelligence, and efficiency -- robots specifically designed to work alongside people, in spaces built for people. Every day, we break through engineering challenges and invent new solutions and capabilities that will one day make humanoid robots commonplace and approachable. This work is our passion and our responsibility: our mission is to make businesses more productive, and people’s lives more fulfilling.

About The Role

Our software team is growing rapidly and we are looking for talented engineers to join our small, agile, world-class team. In this role you will be developing attractive and intuitive browser-based interfaces for controlling and managing our state-of-the-art humanoid robots. This role requires an emphasis on front end development and design skills, but you will also need enough familiarity with back end technologies to prototype a complete application on your own while working with the rest of the software development team to integrate your front end into the complete system. As one of the first members of the web development team, you will have great creative freedom to help shape the structure and style of our interfaces going forward.

About The Work

  • Design and implement web-based interfaces for controlling a humanoid robot
  • Design and implement interfaces for monitoring, updating, and troubleshooting a fleet of robots
  • Implement data visualization tools for individual robot diagnostics, fleet monitoring, and internal software and hardware test results
  • Write well-tested, maintainable and documented Python, HTML, and Javascript software
  • Work with other members of the software development team to interface your front end work with existing back end systems
  • Develop back end code for systems with simple requirements and make minor changes to existing back end systems when needed to support front end prototyping and development

About You

  • You have a BS or MS in computer science or related field or have equivalent industry experience
  • You have 2+ years of experience designing front end web applications
  • You have strong proficiency with front end languages like HTML, CSS, and JS
  • You have basic proficiency with server side languages like Python or C++
  • You have a good sense for designing attractive interfaces by choosing appropriate colors, fonts, layout, and other visual features
  • You have experience with 3D visualization using technologies like WebGL
  • You have experience working both with and without popular web application frameworks and can choose an appropriate framework for a project
  • You have basic familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL
  • You have exposure to standard agile and software development processes (issue tracking tools (Jira), feature branching, version control (Git), continuous integration and deployment)
  • You are able to work independently and as part of a team with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • You are able to communicate technical information effectively both orally and in writing with other team members
  • You have authorization to work in the USA
