OpenGov is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Sr. Manager, Compensation & Benefits to help develop, implement and drive OpenGov’s compensation and benefits strategy and programs. This role will lead a team to develop programs that support our culture and drive the long-term business strategy. This will be an ideal role for someone that wants to leverage their existing experience to develop and scale a growing function within the People team.

Responsibilities:
•Lead the design of compensation & equity award programs aligned with the company’s business objectives
•Oversee the participation in salary surveys, develop compensation ranges, and monitor compensation program effectiveness
•Own, run and refine bi-annual performance review, goal-setting/scoring and compensation processes
•Guide HR Partners and leadership on policy and guideline interpretation, pay decisions and job evaluations
•Train managers and employees on compensation programs and approach
•Make compensation recommendations for new hires and existing employees, partnering with senior leaders across the company
•Plan, design, implement and administer a comprehensive benefits strategy including work/life balance programs and innovative benefit plans
•Develop, lead, and execute employee health and wellness programs including 401k, LOA administration, workers’ compensation & ACA complianceLead annual benefits renewal process and handle the analysis and modeling of proposed changes to determine cost and business impact
•Conduct cost benefit analysis of new benefit programs including cost to implement a 401k match
•Evaluate the effectiveness of benefit plan offerings and identify and recommend potential program design and/or carrier changes
•Develop and deliver strong implementation and change management plans for new and existing program enhancements or changes
•Be an advocate and help champion OpenGov’s culture and values
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
•Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience managing compensation and benefit programs
•3+ years’ experience managing and leading a team
•Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations (e.g. ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FLSA, pay transparency)
•Experience managing international compensation and benefit programs a plus
•Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to develop and present comprehensive, complex data
•Experience with various compensation methodologies & tools
•Great customer service skills with a passion for helping others
•Possess strong communication and influencing skills
•Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•Able to handle confidential matters and sensitive dataAn extreme eye for detail - nothing slips through the cracks
•A strong moral compass and good judgment
•Can problem solve and create innovative solutions
•Proficiency in Google applications, such as sheets, slides, and docs
