THE CHALLENGE…

The mission of the Senior Manager, HR Operations is to influence and drive People strategies to ensure a productive, creative, and inclusive work environment to nurture and grow our employees. We need a leader whose main goal is to ensure an ongoing positive People experience for every employee through ownership of the entire employee experience: onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, employee-benefit programs, compensation, employment policies and procedures, LOA’s, reporting and counsel to leadership. WHAT YOU WILL DO…

  • Build and develop a high-performing, collaborative and accountable team that exemplifies Digimarc’s values.
  • Current direct reports include HR Operations Manager (1) and HR Generalist (1).
  • Hire, train and lead additional HR Operations team members as we grow and scale.
  • Partner with senior leadership to understand company goals and strategy and develop plans for organizational design, employee experience, policy and retention.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, regulatory training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, benefits; leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance management; and occupational health and safety.
  • Benefits: Work with third-party (Mercer) for administration of all benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, short and long-term disability, 401(k) and COBRA. Assist with compliance and reporting. Process all employee benefits through ADP Workforce Now as well as participate in annual online open enrollment. Work closely with third-party to manage Leave of Absence programs and compliance.
  • Vet and implement with the HR Ops team a new human resource information system (HRIS)
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizations human resource information system (HRIS).
  • Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to senior leadership.
  • Compensation: Maintain and update job descriptions, review salary surveys, assist with maintaining salary administration plan, ensure compliance with various wage and hour laws. Work with our external compensation resources and consultants to ensure we are competitive and equitable on pay.
  • Collaborates on the development and implementation of the departmental budget.

Requirements


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR…

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in Human Resources with direct people management required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Independent, self-starter who is adaptable and resilient
  • Start-up or mid-size company experience highly desired
  • Highly accountable
  • Strong consultative approach
  • Superior interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
