Position Overview

This is a Senior Product Management role reporting to the Sr. Director of Finance Product Management in the Enterprise Systems & Experience (ESE) which is Autodesk's Information Technology (IT) organization. We are responsible for delivering capabilities that support our evolving subscriptions business models and finance operations. We ideate, plan, build and run the foundation for Autodesk. We focus on cloud and integration technologies, methods and architectures.

Autodesk is seeking a Sr. Product Manager with deep experience in Finance Applications to join the Finance Product Management Group within ESE. We are making huge investments in Cloud Based Finance Toolsets, AI and ML, Big Data and Enterprise Data Management. As part of that, we have a need for a seasoned professional with deep proficiency in finance application technologies. You have understanding of the SAP, Ariba, Concur, Finance, accounting, budgeting, and planning processes, and experience working with engineering teams to develop feature functionality for key finance, accounting, and executive partners across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Define, promote, and evolve a holistic product strategy for the Product capability set, identifying new areas of impact through market and user research, while driving business outcomes across the enterprise through improved self-service, automation, and intelligent product experiences 
  • Include product principles to help the team succeed through evolving business needs and continuously drive to achieve the greatest business impact through experimentation and learning
  • Define and publish rolling 12-month roadmaps aligned to our goals, while providing product though leadership to land quantifiable impact throughout execution
  • Define OKRs including the measurement methodology, baseline, and targets by quarter, supported by a high confidence roadmap to land the committed business impact
  • Oversee delivery of roadmap commitments in partnership with Eng and UX "Triad," with Product Management accountable for landing business impact as the "CEO of product capability set"
  • Lead through uncertainty with proactive anticipation and mitigation of risks, managing partners, and guiding the team towards vision that you've defined
  • Ensure understanding and strategic partnership through regular interlocks, 1:1s and stakeholder management best practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience leading P2P capabilities development, SAP ERP and Procurement application implementations for SaaS companies
  • 8+ years of experience in product management
  • Overall 2+ years of experience managing finance software roadmaps
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills with an ability to state things simply and persuasively for a variety of audiences - internal, external, business and technical
  • Exceptional planning, facilitation, dependency management, risk management & analysis skills
  • BS Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Management or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with geographically diverse teams and remote employees a plus
  • Technical fluency; understanding and discussing architectural concepts, schedule tradeoffs, and new opportunities with technical team members
  • You are a natural leader with a vision
  • You have a passion for being a mentor and a teacher
  • You have a sense of humor and don't take yourself too seriously
  • You take risks and can make quick decisions
  • You can take vague requirements, clarify and drive them to execution

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA or Portland, OR

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $130,800 and $211,640. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
