Our story

Hi, we're Madeline & James, two native Oregonians who work in tech staffing in Portland.

This site was designed to be a one-stop-shop for everything tech in Oregon: the companies, jobs, funding, organizations, and more that make up the great place we call the Silicon Forest.

With this site we hope to:

  • Highlight the hundreds of amazing tech companies that operate in Oregon and the opportunities they create for people.
  • Make it easy for entrepreneurs to find all the resources and programs available to them in Oregon.
  • Create an accessible resource and online home for Oregon's tech community.

Join us

The Silicon Forest is made up of the entire Oregon tech community and we hope you'll join us in making the site a great resource for everybody.

There are a few ways you can participate:

  1. Tell a friend - Tweet, email, whisper, whatever suits you :)
  2. Post a job - You can post a featured job for more exposure.
  3. Add your company - Fill out this form and we'll get it added ASAP.
  4. Share your feedback - We've got ideas to make the site better, but would love to hear yours!
  5. Follow our Journey - We are building in public and sharing our progress on Indie Hackers.
