You will work with a team of dedicated designers, extraordinary research and content partners, and collaborate with an innovative and dynamic team of product managers and engineers helping our worldwide community of buyers fuel their passions, find unique items and score incredible deals on the original two-sided marketplace. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional and cross-domain design, product, engineering, research and content leads to craft the vision, strategy, goals, strategic roadmap and execution plans for your space
  • Directly contributing artifacts such as strategy decks and mocks when needed to align teams or communicate bigger picture vision
  • Maintaining relationships and collaboration across teams working on areas that overlap with the search and browse experience
  • Leading regular design critiques and brainstorming sessions for your teams
  • Involvement in ongoing product experimentation in order to adjust and work findings into the bigger picture experience and strategy for the space

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in Product Design and BS Degree in interaction design, HCI, industrial design, graphic design, visual communications or equivalent
  • Validated experience leading a team through complex design projects in close partnership with product and engineering counterparts
  • Excellence in providing mentorship to designers as well as design critique that raises the level of craft for your team both in terms of visual design as well as overall customer experience design
  • Experience using data and research to inform decision making and measure outcomes
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, build alignment and form a vision and approach that your team and partners can rally around
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the business, product and engineering aspects of product design and how you have combined that with your own design expertise in creating and shipping impactful products

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

$149,200 - $234,850

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
